publications and active projects

Periodic Genealogical Workshops - These are usually held on a weekend
in the fall, with presentations on starting your research, regional resources, photography
and video documentation, writing a family history, and specialty topics
(DNA, ethnic resources, deciphering handwriting, obscure phrases used in
old legal texts and newspapers, etc.). There are tables for handouts, book vendors,
and displays by local lineage organizations. DGS members pay a reduced registration fee.
